I’d say collaboration during the product-building phase is more of a continuum. Taking this into account, one could say that pretty much all PMs even in traditional industries work together with their teams in deciding what the output looks like. However, this does not necessarily mean that the engineers and designers are not dominated by their PMs or bosses and that they have enough space to develop their ideas.
